Strategem Community Foundation Grant awarded to Long Gully Community Garden
At Strategem we are passionate about enriching lives. We do this every day through helping our clients to achieve their financial goals, however we also achieve this by supporting projects and initiatives within our local community.
Through the Strategem Community Foundation, we are proud to be able to support local organisations to make an impact within our community. Through not only donating money, but also volunteering our time, we are proud of the many projects and initiatives that we are able to support.
The 2022 Strategem Community Foundation Grant was recently presented to the Long Gully Community Garden, which aims to provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment that inspires, strengthens and empowers the community.
Under the auspices of the Long Gully Neighbourhood Centre, the Long Gully Community Garden is part of a network of groups, working together to improve fresh food security and accessibility within Bendigo.
The funds provided through the Strategem Community Foundation grant have seen a new water irrigation system installed at the garden, resulting in major improved efficiencies.
Improved delivery of water to orchard and garden beds to improve water use and time efficiencies.
Improved quality and quantity of fruit and vegetables grown and shared in the community.
Increase community participation in the garden.
We were thrilled to witness the positive impacts provided by our grant support and we look forward to continuing to watch the Long Gully Community Garden grow and thrive.
